Sir John A. McDonald Dinner - January 14, 2012

On Saturday, January 14, the Riding held a fund-raising dinner at the Columbus centre in Cobourg featuring Sir John A. Macdonald.

A good crowd of supporters enjoyed a dinner and a re-enactment of Sir John A. Macdonald by Brian Porter.  The event was timed to coincide with his birthday which is Jan 11, 1815. We are hoping to make this an annual event.

Stay tuned for other interesting happenings organized by your riding.

Message from the Riding Association

A Message from the President

I'm dreaming of a white Christmas, just like the ones,,,

A blanket of snow on the ground and a frosting in the trees makes the county look truly like the winter wonderland it is. It's great to spend time outside enjoying the season, young and old alike. Whether it's toboganning, skiing, skating, shinny, sledding or just making snow angels or snowmen, a bit of snow puts smiles on all our faces and makes it really feel like Christmas. I like to think that it's not so much the things we do at Christmas time that are important but the Christmas things we do all year round that make our communities such great places to live in.

Helping family, friends and others all year, even though the need is felt most at Christmas, keeps us vibrant and healthy and is the true spirit of the season past, present and future.

In late January we will be publishing our next newsletter with information regarding spring events. Included will be an ongoing section recognizing significant personal milestones within the NQW Conservative family. Please send acknowledgements to me if you wish to have them published. Hope to see you all on January 14th at our first annual Sir John A. Macdonald Dinner.

From the Conservative family and from my family to one and all please have a very Merry Christmas and a safe and prosperous New Year!

Cheers David White.
